Air Jordan 1 Low SE 'sail Archaeo Brown'

Designed by Peter Moore and released on 20 August 2024 as part of the Air Jordan 1 line. This release has a suede upper in Legend Light Brown/Sail/Neutral Grey/Archaeo Brown. Sail and Archaeo Brown is the Jordan 1 speaking in furniture tones. There is no team here, no championship, no red at all: just an off white base and a muted brown that sits closer to leather goods than to sportswear. Special Edition versions of the Low exist to make exactly this argument, that the pattern Peter Moore drew with Bruce Kilgore in 1984 works as a wardrobe object independent of everything the brand attached to it afterwards. Cut below the ankle and finished in neutrals, the shoe stops referencing basketball altogether and starts behaving like a well chosen everyday shoe, which is a strange and quite recent thing for this silhouette to be able to do.
