Part of the Air Jordan 1 Brooklyn line. This release has a leather upper in Black/Global Purple/Black. Brooklyn is the 1 rebuilt as a boot, and No Gravity is the version of that idea that leans hardest into the brand's own mythology, since the whole visual identity is a man suspended in the air. The Jumpman came from Peter Moore, who had Jordan recreate a mid leap pose in Bulls gear after seeing a Jacobus Rentmeester photograph shot before the 1984 Olympics. Rentmeester sued Nike in 2015 over the logo and the Ninth Circuit affirmed dismissal in February 2018, holding the images not substantially similar. A boot named No Gravity is that founding image made literal, on a silhouette built for weather rather than hardwood.
