Part of adidas's Samba line. This release has a leather upper in Core Black/Green/Grey Six. Black with green is the Samba combination that reads sportiest without going bright. The body stays dark and the green lands on the stripes and heel, so the shoe keeps the low, close outline that made it a permanent fixture while carrying one colour that pulls your eye along the sidewall. This is a women's pair, and the appeal is practical as much as visual: black is the Samba base that survives a city. The silhouette itself comes from a company that has always preferred to refine a proven outline rather than replace it, a habit set by Adolf Dassler when he built shoes one event at a time in Herzogenaurach.
Two recipes. Black straight-leg trousers with a green knit or a khaki jacket, letting the accent stripe echo the top half rather than sit alone. Or dark denim with a cream shirt, where the black grounds the outfit and the green reads as a quiet detail. It is a strong pick for commuting, rain-adjacent weather and long days on foot because the dark base tolerates dirt. Size true; the Samba last runs narrow, so consider a half up with thicker socks. Wipe the leather regularly, protect the suede toe before first wear, and clean the gum sole with plain water.
adidas Originals became the base layer of European casual dressing because its shapes could disappear into any wardrobe, and a dark Samba is that principle in its most usable form. Green as an accent puts it slightly closer to football colour-coding than the neutral pairs do, which is exactly where the Samba came from culturally: stands, streets and the people who dressed around a team without playing for one. It is a shoe worn daily rather than displayed. That everyday usefulness is the whole reason the dark colourways sell steadily while the bright ones spike and fade, and it is why this is usually the second Samba people buy rather than the first.
Black leather across the quarters with suede over the toe, green stitched Three Stripes and a gum-family rubber outsole.
