Denim on denim is the obvious pairing and it works if you break the shade: a much darker or much lighter jean than the shoe, a white tee and a black jacket. The safer route is to avoid denim entirely above the ankle, using olive or stone chinos with a cream knit so the shoe is the only woven cotton in view. High cut wants the hem finishing just above the collar. Care is textile care, not leather care: brush dry, spot clean with mild soap and a soft brush, never soak or machine wash, and treat with a fabric protector before first wear.
