Hoka Bondi 9 White

Part of Hoka's Bondi 9 line. This release has a mesh upper in White/White. An all white Bondi 9 is the fashion version of a performance argument. Hoka's third wave, after ultrarunning and after healthcare, was style: the exaggerated silhouette read as the running world's answer to the chunky sneaker, and suddenly a shoe designed to absorb descents was being bought for its proportions. White exaggerates that effect, because there is nothing to break the mass, so the flared heel and deep sidewall become the entire product. The origin is still Annecy in 2009, where Nicolas Mermoud and Jean-Luc Diard built an oversized outsole with far more cushion than the running shoes of the time, and this colourway simply puts that volume on display.
