Released on 20 July 2024 and part of the Air Jordan 4 RM line. This release has a suede upper in Pro Green/Metallic Platinum/Black/Sail. This is a 4 derived build rather than a straight retro, made as a special project and carrying a collaborator's name on the shoe. Fence Green is the colour brief and it is a specific one: a chain link, urban green rather than a sports team green, and nothing like the Chicago red, black and white that work as this brand's own palette. The 4 is the right platform for a project like this because its design is already about exposure. Cut out side panels, lace wings mounted on the quarter and a visible heel structure mean any partner has recognisable hardware to reinterpret without needing to redraw the silhouette.
Green is the colour to build the fit around rather than to accessorise. Black cargo trousers, a plain black tee and a grey jacket keeps the shoe as the only saturated element, which is how a project colourway should read. Alternatively, washed olive trousers and a cream crewneck puts the green into a family and makes it look intentional rather than accidental. Avoid navy, which fights green at this depth.
