New Balance 9060 Sea Salt Marsh Green

Released on 23 September 2024 and part of New Balance's 9060 line. This release has a leather upper in Sea Salt/Marsh Green/Calcium. Sea Salt with Marsh Green is a coastline in two colours, a pale warm off white against a deep muddy green, and it gives the 9060 a landscape reference rather than a sportswear one. That suits the silhouette. Built from the panel vocabulary of New Balance's 99x runners and deliberately swollen and curved, the 9060 has always looked more geological than athletic, and an earthy green makes that reading explicit. The brand behind it is now a roughly 6.5 billion dollar business with around 8,000 employees, still privately held, which is a rare position: large enough to design freely, independent enough not to design by committee.
