The 9060 and 2002R offer different interpretations of New Balance lifestyle footwear. The useful choice is the construction and fit you prefer, not a universal comfort winner.
Manufacturer-described differences
| Model | Design and cushioning | What that tells a shopper |
|---|---|---|
| 9060 | Exaggerated sculpted proportions; ABZORB and SBS elements | Consider it if you want a more prominent, sculptural sole |
| 2002R | 2000s running-inspired shape; the cited listing describes ACTEVA LITE, ABZORB SBS, N-ergy and Stability Web | Consider the lower-key retro running appearance; verify the exact edition |
What the specifications cannot decide
A technology name does not measure comfort for your foot. This comparison has no wear-test scores, weight comparison across equivalent sizes or durability test. Do not infer that a broad outsole automatically means a wide upper. Try the selected width and inspect heel hold, forefoot space and the way the upper contacts your foot.
Sizing across the two models
Use New Balance’s size and width guide for both listings. Match the men’s, women’s or unisex scale and width before comparing the number. The 9060 size guide explains why the external silhouette is not a sizing chart. A familiar New Balance size is a starting point rather than proof of identical fit.
Price, condition and use
Select your size before comparing prices. Confirm the style code, colourway, adult or children’s construction, condition and delivery estimate. An attractive starting price may apply to a different size. Size exchange is conditional on the order, request window, unused condition and an eligible replacement; read the quote before committing.
Materials and finishes vary by release. Compare the exact colourway and listed composition. These are lifestyle buying considerations; choose a current running product if the main purpose is a specific training activity.
