This release has a canvas upper in Beige/Brown. adidas effectively invented the modern fashion designer sneaker partnership, starting with Yohji Yamamoto's Y-3 line and Stella McCartney in 2004 and running through Jeremy Scott, Raf Simons and Alexander Wang. The Gucci partnership is the version where an Italian luxury house takes an adidas silhouette rather than a designer building a sub label, and the Gazelle is the right shoe for it: a suede terrace classic with a slim last and a low profile that reads elegant rather than athletic. This women's pair in beige and brown puts the house's Original GG monogram against the Three Stripes, two of the most recognisable marks in their respective industries sharing a single upper.
