Air Jordan 1 Mid SE Space Jam

Designed by Peter Moore and released on 23 January 2023 as part of the Air Jordan 1 line. This release has a patent leather upper in Black/Dark Concord/White. Space Jam is one of the few colourway names in the Jordan catalogue that points at something outside basketball entirely, and it has been attached to more than one model over the years. On a Mid SE, the reference is carried by the palette and the graphic treatment rather than by any change to the shoe's bones. Those bones are Peter Moore's 1984 layout, drawn with Bruce Kilgore, and the Mid is the cut that keeps the AJ1 permanently in production rather than periodically in stock. Special edition make ups are where the model absorbs ideas from the wider culture around it. This one is the AJ1 acknowledging that for a large part of its audience, Michael Jordan arrived through a screen rather than through a broadcast of an actual game.
