Released on 13 March 2025 and part of adidas's Samba line. This release has a suede upper in Core Black/Alumina/Silver Green. Black with silver and green is a night version of the Samba OG, the colour split you would pick if you wanted the silhouette without the retro football signal that a white and gum pair sends. The OG designation matters here: it marks this out as the original proportion rather than one of the slimmed or bolder reworkings the family has spawned. The Samba belongs to the group of adidas shoes that stopped being about the sport in their name and became the base layer of European football terrace and casual dressing, alongside the Superstar and the Stan Smith. In a women's cut with metallic silver stripes, it is being sold on shape and finish rather than on nostalgia.
Black with metallic silver is an evening shoe in sneaker form. Wear it with black straight leg denim and a black or charcoal top so the silver reads as jewellery, or with a mid length dark skirt and opaque tights when you want a flat shoe that still looks finished. The green accent means one green piece elsewhere is allowed, but only one. The Samba profile runs narrow and long, so half a size down is common. Metallic panels scuff visibly and cannot be restored the way leather can, so keep the pair away from abrasive surfaces and clean it with a soft damp cloth only.
adidas has the deepest football roster in the business, with sponsored athletes including Lionel Messi and David Beckham, and the Samba carries that association even when nobody is playing. Metallic silver against black is a different proposition from flat white against black, because a metallic finish changes with the light and reads as a highlight rather than as a block of colour. On the Samba OG that highlight falls on the Three Stripes, which on adidas began as structural reinforcement sewn onto the upper rather than as branding, so the flash sits exactly where the shoe flexes hardest. The green enters as a secondary accent, probably at the heel or the branding, giving the pair a third point of interest without breaking the dark ground. The OG proportion is low and long with a slim waist, so it stays close to the ground. No style code is listed.
