Designed by Peter Moore and released on 22 September 2022 as part of Nike's Air Jordan 1 line. This release has a denim upper in White/Worn Blue/Metallic Gold. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG is the closest the line gets to reissuing itself honestly: the original ankle height, the original panel layout, the original proportions, all descended from the 1984 signing of Michael Jordan that turned an endorsement deal into a business of its own. The high is where the shape is most itself, because the tall collar and the wing shaped Swoosh were drawn together. This women's execution runs blue as the dominant colour, which puts it in the model's oldest and most legible tradition, a strong shade blocked against white so the panel splits read from across a room. Nothing about the format has needed changing in four decades.
