Released on 31 July 2025 and part of the 204L line. This release has a suede upper in Mushroom/Arid Stone. The 204L is New Balance working at the lowest, quietest end of its range, a slim profile shoe that has more in common with a court trainer than with the brand's big cushioned runners. Mushroom and Arid Stone push it further into that territory, two pale earth tones that sit close enough together to read as a single soft neutral. This is New Balance being deliberately unremarkable, which is historically its strongest mode. The brand began in 1906 as the New Balance Arch Support Company, built its reputation on fit and support rather than image, and its most enduring shoes have been the ones that ask for the least attention.
