Adidas Ae 1 Ascent

Released on 20 July 2024 and part of the AE 1 line. This release has a tpu upper in Core Black/Charcoal/Carbon. The AE 1 is adidas basketball drawn without restraint, an aggressively sculpted, asymmetric shoe that looks nothing like the low, flat court silhouettes the brand is usually remembered for. Ascent is a colourway within that first signature model line. adidas has held real ground in basketball since the Superstar of 1969, whose moulded rubber shell toe was made to protect players' feet under the basket and which a reported 75 percent of NBA players were wearing by 1973. The AE 1 is the opposite design answer to the same problem, protection through moulded geometry and layered support rather than through a rubber cap. Style code IG6668 identifies this pair, which matters given how many colourways the model has carried.
