Released on 2 February 2025 and part of adidas's Campus line. This release has a denim upper in Night Indigo/Crystal White/Cloud White. The Campus 00s is the Campus rebuilt for a decade that liked its shoes heavier, and Night Indigo Denim is the colourway that leans hardest into that. A deep blue nap across the whole upper reads closer to raw denim than to a sports shoe, which is exactly the trade adidas Originals makes: a silhouette that started as a court shape and now lives entirely as clothing. The Trefoil, three leaves over three stripes, was drawn in 1971 and launched for the 1972 Munich Olympics, and after 1997 it stopped being the corporate mark and became the signal for product like this. Wearing the 00s in indigo is wearing the lifestyle half of adidas rather than the performance half.
Indigo suede wants contrast underneath. Try loose ecru carpenter trousers with a cream hoodie, where the blue becomes the only saturated thing in the frame. Or go tonal with mid wash straight jeans and a navy crewneck, letting the shoe act as the darkest point of a single colour story. The bulk means it eats a slim hem, so pick trousers with enough width to break cleanly over the toe. Suede protector spray before first wear is not optional in Indian city weather, and a soft brush after each wear keeps the nap standing. If they get soaked, stuff them with paper, dry away from direct heat, then brush once fully dry.
adidas gained its second life through music it did not commission. Run-DMC put My Adidas out on 29 May 1986 and the endorsement that followed became the template for every music and brand partnership since, a moment Questlove has called hip hop's tipping point. Suede adidas silhouettes have carried that association ever since, which is why a chunky indigo Campus reads as a rap and streetwear object rather than an athletic one. The Originals division exists to serve that audience specifically, the people who took the Superstar and the Stan Smith out of the arena and made them a base layer of casual dressing across Europe and beyond.
Suede across the upper, carrying a deep indigo tone that shifts as the nap moves, with the Three Stripes applied to the quarter panel and a thicker midsole and collar than the older Campus. The bulk is the whole design argument here: more foam underfoot, more padding around the ankle, a wider footprint that fills out a trouser hem instead of disappearing under it. Indigo suede is the most temperamental surface adidas puts on this shape, because water spots it and the nap flattens where the shoe creases. It also ages better than leather when you look after it, deepening rather than cracking, so the shoe gets richer through a couple of seasons of use.
