Nike Dunk High University Red

University Red on white is the loudest thing a Dunk High can be while still looking like it belongs on a court. The High is the original cut of the silhouette, with a tall padded collar that wraps the ankle and a long panel run that gives a two colour split more room to work than the Low ever gets. Red across the overlays, collar and Swoosh with white underneath is a straight team colour treatment, the kind of pairing that basketball shoes were built around before anyone thought of them as fashion. Nike had the standing to keep making shoes like this because by 1980 it already held roughly half the United States athletic shoe market and had gone public.
