Air Jordan Jordan Legacy 312 Low Black Royal

Designed by Don C and part of the Jordan Legacy 312 line. This release has a leather upper. The Legacy 312 is what happens when a brand has enough archive to build from parts. Jordan Brand became a Nike division in 1997 with its own design language already established: the Jumpman, the Wings mark, elephant print, patent leather, the Chicago palette. The 312 assembles cues from that archive into a silhouette that never existed on a court, which frees it from the obligation any Retro carries to be accurate. Black with royal is a hard, straightforward blocking choice, the same two tone logic the earliest Air Jordan 1 colourways used before the line picked up graphics. In a low cut hybrid, that blocking is what keeps the shoe legible instead of busy.
