New Balance 550 White Juniper

Released on 23 August 2023 and part of New Balance's 550 line. This release has a leather upper in White/Juniper/Dark Juniper. White Juniper is the 550 in its most classical dress, a clean white leather court shoe with a muted green picking out the panels. The 550 is a basketball silhouette pulled from an archive that sat unused for years before New Balance brought it back and let it become the everyday low top, which is a different route into culture from the brand's running shoes. Where the 990 family got adopted for comfort, the 550 got adopted for shape. Juniper green keeps it from being another plain white sneaker, and it points at the part of the business that still runs on court, a company that sponsors the NBA and signs basketball athletes.
