Nike Dunk High X Clot Flux

Designed by Peter Moore and released on 18 March 2022 as part of Nike's Dunk line. Flux is CLOT's take on the Dunk High, and the Hong Kong studio has spent years arguing that a Nike silhouette can carry an Eastern design idea without becoming a souvenir. The Dunk High is a good vehicle for that argument because it is mostly surface: a tall leather shell with clear panel divisions and nothing technical to protect. Nike's own openness to outside voices runs deep, from the Wieden+Kennedy partnership that started in 1976 and produced Just Do It, to acquiring the virtual sneaker studio RTFKT and working with artist Takashi Murakami on digital product. Handing the Dunk to a studio with its own audience is the physical version of that habit.
