Salt is a summer shoe and a light palette shoe. Recipe one: off white wide leg trousers with a pale blue shirt worn loose, so the shoe finishes a light outfit without introducing a new colour. Recipe two: light grey shorts and a white tee for hot days, keeping everything in one bright register. Take your usual size and let the knit relax around the midfoot. Keep them off wet and dusty streets entirely, because pale knit does not recover from ground in grit. Near white 350 V2s are the reason the silhouette ended up on people who never queued for anything. One piece Primeknit forms the upper, machine knitted with no cut panels, and the stripe area is knitted in the same pale tone so nothing breaks the surface. The Boost midsole below is expanded TPU pellet foam and in a near white makeup its speckled cell structure is the most detailed thing on the shoe. No logo appears on the exterior at any point, which on a plain pale pair means there is genuinely nothing to read except shape. Salt is unforgiving in daily use: the knit greys at the toe, the crease line darkens, and the midsole picks up scuffs that show clearly. On foot it is snug at the midfoot with a stretch collar and settles fast.
