Designed by Kanye West and released on 8 June 2022 as part of the Yeezy Foam Runner line. This release has a eva upper in Onyx/Onyx/Onyx. The Foam Runner arrived without warning, dropped inside Kanye West's WESTDAYEVER rollout with buyers pushed into a virtual waiting room and the whole run gone the same day. Steven Smith led the design, and the pitch was material as much as shape: a proprietary foam blending harvested algae with EVA, tied to a seed to sole idea of growing the raw input rather than buying it.
