New Balance 9060 Arctic Grey

Released on 12 May 2023 and part of New Balance's 9060 line. This release has a suede upper in Arctic Grey/Vintage Indigo/Steel. Arctic Grey is the pale, almost blue end of grey, and it changes the temperature of the 9060 completely. Where a warm sand build makes the silhouette look soft and a dark grey makes it look serious, this cold light tone makes it look designed. That suits a shoe whose entire premise is design: the 9060 takes the panel language of New Balance's 99x runners and warps it, adding volume and curve to shapes the originals kept flat and straight. It is a fashion object made from running parts, produced by a company that spent most of its life avoiding fashion entirely, which is exactly what gives it credibility now.
