Nike Revolution 8 Green Shock

Released on 25 May 2025 and part of the Revolution 8 line. This release has a mesh upper in Green Shock/Green Strike/White/Black. The Revolution line is Nike's entry point into running, the shoe that exists so that starting to run does not require a serious purchase. That matters more to this company than it sounds. Nike began in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports, selling imported Japanese running shoes out of the boot of Phil Knight's car at track meets, because Bill Bowerman believed American runners deserved lighter, better shoes than the domestic market offered. Selling accessible running shoes is the original business, not a later concession. Green Shock is the colour treatment here, a high visibility acid green of the kind running has favoured since reflective safety and high energy branding converged. It is a beginner's shoe wearing a serious runner's palette, which is a fair statement of intent.
