Adidas Samba OG White Solar Red Gum

Released on 19 November 2023 and part of adidas's Samba line. This release has a leather upper in Cloud White/Solar Red/Off White. White upper, solar red trim, gum sole. This is the Samba OG doing the thing it does best, which is take a shape with almost no decoration and change its entire personality with one colour. Solar red is a loud, orange leaning red rather than a deep one, so it pushes the shoe toward summer and toward sport rather than toward formality. adidas has always built this way, from Adolf Dassler making one shoe for one event at a time, and the Samba's low flat construction still carries that logic: nothing on it exists for looks alone. The red simply arrives on top of a shoe that was already finished.
