Air Jordan 1 Low Golf Chicago

Designed by Peter Moore and released on 24 March 2022 as part of the Air Jordan 1 line. This release has a leather upper in Varsity Red/Black/White. Chicago on a golf shoe is a deliberate provocation. Red, black and white are the colours Michael Jordan wore as a Bulls rookie when Nike signed him on 26 October 1984, and they function as brand colours in their own right, carrying more history than most national flags in this industry. Putting them on a course, a place with a dress code and a very long memory of who it was built for, is the same move the brand made when it let its shoe be fined off a basketball floor rather than redesigned. The silhouette is the 1 Low, reworked for golf, which means the most recognisable colourway in sneakers is now something you can walk eighteen holes in.
