New Balance 327 'beige

Released on 13 February 2023 and part of New Balance's 327 line. This release has a suede upper in Beige. Beige is the 327 with the volume turned down. The 327 is New Balance's clearest design exercise, drawing on the cues of its older racing shoes, the low slung profile and the flared outsole, and enlarging the block N until it covers most of the side wall. The block N is the house mark, so making it the whole graphic is a statement about how confident the brand had become in its own identity. In beige, the shape stays exaggerated but nothing about the colour argues with it. You get a bold silhouette in a neutral that belongs to the same soft palette the brand's archive shoes trade in.
