Released on 1 October 2025 and part of the Killshot line. This release has the Black/Anthracite colourway. The Killshot is a tennis shoe that stopped being one. Its narrow profile, low sole and thin Swoosh come from an era when court shoes were built to be light rather than protective, a lineage that runs back to Nike's earliest endorsement, tennis player Ilie Nastase, the first professional athlete the company signed. The 2 PRM is the premium build of the second version, and in black it loses the retro softness that the cream and white pairs trade on. What you get instead is a slim, dark, low volume shoe that reads closer to a plimsoll than to anything Nike currently markets as performance. It is the least Nike looking Nike shoe in the catalogue, which is exactly its appeal.
One: with tailoring, charcoal or navy wool trousers with a clean hem, a fine knit, and the black shoe reading almost like a derby from a distance. Two: full black, dark denim and a black overshirt, where the slim profile keeps the outfit from looking bulky. It is a flat, low cushion shoe, so it suits dinners, offices and evenings rather than long walking days. Size carefully, the last is narrow and many people go half up. Black leather wants conditioning rather than scrubbing, so wipe with a damp cloth, treat occasionally, and keep the sole wall clean since a dirty white or gum edge is what dates a black shoe fastest.
Nike's court heritage is older than its basketball fame, and the plain tennis shoe has become the piece that non sneaker people reach for. From the 1980s Nike footwear moved through urban and hip hop fashion and then into general casual dress, but the Killshot travelled a quieter route, adopted by people dressing down tailoring rather than by anyone dressing up sportswear. A black pair pushes that further, since it removes the vintage colouring that makes the shoe read as a reference. What is left is a low, dark court silhouette that works in rooms where sneakers are technically not welcome.
Killshot construction is old school by design: a low cut upper over a thin sole unit, a stitched Swoosh rather than an applied one, and a slim last that runs closer to a dress shoe volume than a modern sneaker. Premium versions upgrade the upper materials over the standard build, and in black that shows in the depth of the finish rather than in contrast. There is very little cushioning underfoot, so the shoe is flat and connected to the ground, which some people want and others find punishing after several hours. The rubber outsole comes from the same tread engineering line Nike has run since the waffle iron. Black hides scuffing well but shows dust and salt.
