Origin
Peter Moore designed the Air Jordan 1 to break footwear's color barrier. Nearly everything on an NBA court then was white or black, so he built a shoe that could carry Chicago Bulls red, black and white without apology. Black Toe was one of the first original colorways, worn by Michael Jordan through his rookie run, and it is the pair in the promotional photography that fed into the Jumpman silhouette. The Reimagined line, which already gave you Lost and Found and Royal Reimagined, treats those old pairs as artefacts rather than templates. Black Toe Reimagined, style code DZ5485-106, is modelled on a specific pair Jordan wore and gave away, and it restores details the 2013 and 2016 retros glossed over. This is the Black Toe with its history left visible instead of polished off.
Utility
Retailers list it true to size, and the Air Jordan 1 High OG last is familiar enough that most people order their usual number. Wide feet get relief the normal way: the leather softens and gives after a week of wear. Two ways to wear it. Straight-leg raw denim, a white tee and a black bomber, letting the red heel be the only color you own. Or loose grey sweatpants cuffed just above the collar with a cream hoodie, so the aged midsole reads as part of the outfit instead of dirt. Do not scrub that midsole. It is meant to look yellowed and aggressive cleaning turns it patchy. Wipe the leather with a damp cloth, soft-brush the perforations, keep them out of monsoon rain and store with shoe trees so the toe box does not crease.

Black Toe sits in the small group of Air Jordan 1 colorways nobody argues down. It is the shoe from the promo imagery that fed the Jumpman, so it carries the origin story in a way even Chicago has to share. Reimagined pairs land differently from standard retros: the pre-yellowed midsole and the UV-only signature are collector bait, and they turn a wearable shoe into something people photograph before they lace it. Jordan Brand dropped it across NBA All-Star Weekend, which is not where a filler release goes. Against a 180-dollar US retail, Indian marketplaces list the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Black Toe Reimagined in the Rs 14,000 to Rs 19,500 band, so it is priced like a pair people chase rather than one sitting on a shelf.
Construction
Premium leather with ventilation perforations across the toe, a white base, black overlays on the toe, collar and Swoosh, and Varsity Red on the heel, ankle flap, Nike Air tongue label and outsole. The nylon tongue returns in black, which some past retros dropped. The real work is in the aging: the midsole is deliberately yellowed and distressed, so a box-fresh pair already looks lived in, the same treatment that made Lost and Found land. On the collar flap, AIR JORDAN lettering replaces the Wings logo, lifted from an early promo sample. Inside the left collar sits a hidden message in UV-reactive ink reading My Very Best in Jordan's handwriting, the sign-off he used on autographs. Even the packaging works, with Peter Moore sketches on the tissue.
