The Dunk is a college basketball shoe that outlived its purpose and became one of the most collected objects in Nike's catalogue. Its second life came through skate, where Nike SB rebuilt it, and then through the retro market, where colourway became the entire product. Black Canvas is a deliberate step away from the leather panelling that defines most Dunks: canvas takes dye differently, wears differently and reads softer at a distance. On a Retro PRM build the premium designation means the material story is the point rather than a team colourway.
