A cleat is the clearest evidence that Air Jordan left basketball. Jordan Brand became sole equipment provider to the Michigan Wolverines football team in 2016 and signed athletes across the NFL and MLB, including Jalen Hurts, Dak Prescott, Aaron Judge and Derek Jeter, so it needed the 1 in a form you can wear on grass. This is the Mid pattern, the shape Peter Moore drew with Bruce Kilgore for a 1985 release, in the Chicago red, black and white that function as the brand's own colours, on a studded outsole and in grade school sizing.
