Designed by Horst Dassler and released on 15 March 2021 as part of the Stan Smith line. This release has the Cloud White/Collegiate Navy/Off-White colourway. The Stan Smith is the shoe adidas built by removing things: no contrast stripes, just three rows of perforations through the sidewall, a smooth leather upper and a coloured heel tab to tell you which version you are looking at. That reduction is why it became, alongside the Superstar, the base layer of European terrace and casual dressing and one of the pillars of adidas Originals, the division the Trefoil has marked since it was designed in 1971 for the Munich Olympics.
