Released on 2 June 2025 and part of the Adizero Evo SL line. This release has a textile upper in Cloud White/Blue Fusion/Off White. The Adizero Evo SL took the geometry of adidas's racing shoes and made it survivable for daily training, which is why it became the model people actually run in rather than save for race day. This is the women's cut in White Blue Fusion: a clean white base lifted with a saturated blue, the pairing adidas has used on track product for decades because it stays legible in daylight, on camera and under floodlights. adidas has been cutting shoes for specific events since Adolf Dassler watched individual athletes in Herzogenaurach rather than designing for categories, and the adizero programme is where that habit still operates at the sharp end.
White and blue is a training palette that also passes as a clean everyday shoe. Recipe one: use it properly, with black or navy running tights and a light technical top, where the white keeps the shoe visible and the blue picks up any kit detailing. Recipe two: off duty, with straight leg light denim and a white or grey crew, letting it work as a plain white sneaker with one accent. Superlight uppers have minimal structure, so go true to size and lace snug across the midfoot. Rotate with a heavier trainer if you run most days, wipe the white upper down after wet runs before spray dries in, and never machine wash a foam midsole shoe.
adidas's running credibility is not borrowed. Boost was engineered from thousands of fused TPU pellets whose bounce comes from the processing rather than the raw polymer, delivering higher energy return and steadier behaviour across temperatures than the industry standard EVA, and it carried the Ultraboost, NMD, Energy Boost, Pure Boost and adizero Adios Boost. The competitive adizero line went further, using thermoplastic polyester elastomer midsoles with embedded carbon rods rather than one rigid plate. That is a company willing to spend years on the part of the shoe nobody photographs, which is why its running product is judged on the road rather than on the shelf.
Superlight running shoes are built by subtraction. The Evo SL keeps a tall, light foam midsole and reduces the upper to a thin engineered layer, so nearly all the weight and all the ride sit underfoot. Blue runs through the branding and midsole detailing against the white body, which means the shoe reads bright and clean until the first wet run: white uppers on running shoes stain from road spray faster than from wear. adidas has the research history to back the geometry, having launched Boost, a thermoplastic polyurethane developed with German chemical company BASF, in its running line in 2013, the point at which the brand's midsole science became the selling argument.
