Flight Court sits in the everyday half of Jordan Brand, the part that exists because the line stopped being one signature model in 1997 and became a division with a full catalogue. Cool Grey, Wolf Grey and Neutral Grey stacked together give you three temperatures of the same non colour, and a hit of Varsity Red to stop it going flat. Red is not decorative here: the Chicago red, black and white palette functions as a brand colour in itself, so a single red accent on a grey shoe reads as Jordan before you find the Jumpman. This is the version of the brand you wear on a Tuesday rather than the one you queue for.
Grey with a red flag wants restraint. Recipe one: charcoal tapered trousers, a black quarter zip, and a grey marl beanie, where the Varsity Red is the only saturated point on you. Recipe two: raw indigo jeans, a white oxford shirt worn open over a tee, and black socks, so the shoe bridges the blue and the white without matching either.
