Designed by Don C and released on 26 July 2023 as part of the Jordan Legacy 312 line. This release has a leather upper in White/University Red/White. Jordan Brand stopped being an American basketball story a long time ago. It became a standalone Nike division in 1997, took the Michigan Wolverines football programme in 2016 and sponsored Paris Saint-Germain in 2018, its first association football club, and it now sells to markets that have no living memory of the player. Location themed releases are how a brand that big says something specific to a specific place. The Legacy 312 is the right platform for it, because it is a hybrid assembled from the brand's own archive cues rather than a numbered retro, which means there is no historical accuracy to violate.
