Released on 6 September 2025 and part of Nike's Dunk SB line. This release has a leather upper in Dark Pony/Black/Silver/White/Rage Green/Hyper Royal. A skate brand collaboration on an SB Dunk is Nike acknowledging a debt rather than granting a favour. The Dunk was a college basketball shoe that had run out of purpose, and skateboarding kept it alive because the flat sole gave board feel and the padded tongue absorbed the impact of failed tricks. Nike SB formalised that adoption and then made the platform a canvas for shops, brands and cities that had earned the right to draw on it. Limosine Skateboards taking a Football theme on this pair is a specific joke told to a specific audience, which is exactly how SB Dunks are supposed to work. The people who understand it immediately are the people the shoe was made for.
A themed SB should be visible and should also be skated, if that is what you bought it for. First recipe: loose fit denim or work pants with a graphic tee and a hoodie, hems wide but short enough that the panelling shows. Second: black cargos with a plain crewneck and a cap, letting the shoe be the only reference in the outfit. Do not overload the fit with logos, since the shoe is already telling a story. SB Dunks differ from standard Dunks in ways that matter once your feet are on a board. The tongue is thicker and more heavily padded, the collar carries more foam, and the insole is built for repeated impact rather than for walking, because the shoe is expected to take ollie abuse on the same panel every time. The outsole keeps the flat court geometry that gives board feel, and Nike's founding waffle logic, born from Bowerman pouring rubber into a waffle iron, is why the brand treats grip pattern as a design decision rather than a default. Themed SB pairs put their work into materials and detailing across those panels, so expect texture changes rather than structural ones.
