New Balance 9060 Easter Pack - Light Grey Deep Ocean

Part of New Balance's 9060 line. This release has a synthetic upper in Light Grey/Deep Ocean. An Easter pack is a seasonal exercise in softening, and pairing light grey with deep ocean is the grown-up version of it: the pale grey does the spring work while the deep blue keeps the shoe from turning saccharine. Putting that on the 9060 is a good match, because the model is already a distortion of the 99x running family, the line running from the 990 in 1982 through the 991, 992 and 993, and it takes colour better than a purist reissue would. New Balance has always been at ease in grey, which is the shade its most famous shoes made into a signature, so even a seasonal release starts from home ground.
