Released on 23 July 2024 and part of the Fresh Foam X More v5 line. This release has a mesh upper in Black/Linen/Silver Metallic. The More is New Balance's maximum cushioning road shoe, the one built for people whose priority is finishing comfortable rather than finishing fast. It runs on Fresh Foam, the platform the brand introduced in 2014 to move cushioning from a generic slab to something tuned zone by zone. Black with silver metallic is a fitting dress for it: serious, slightly clinical, easy to wear in the dark hours when most people actually train. New Balance has been attached to everyday running since the Trackster in 1960 spread through YMCA fitness programmes and college cross country teams, and a high stack daily trainer is the most direct descendant of that ambition in the current line.
Utility

Construction
The midsole is Fresh Foam X, New Balance's proprietary EVA blend moulded as a single piece and tuned zonally to place cushioning and support exactly where the foot needs it, which is what allows a very cushioned shoe to stay stable rather than wobbly. That single piece moulding is also why it feels different underfoot from FuelCell, the nitrogen injected TPU and EVA blend the brand uses where rebound matters more than plushness. The upper is a lightweight engineered mesh in black with silver metallic detailing, built for breathability rather than structure. Width fittings, New Balance's oldest technical promise, are especially worth using on a max cushion trainer, where a foot swimming on a tall platform loses stability.
