Nike SB Dunk Low Pushead 2

Designed by Peter Moore and released on 15 July 2012 as part of Nike's Dunk SB line. This release has the Black/Black-Filbert colourway. Nike SB's most memorable releases have usually come from handing the Dunk to somebody outside the building, and the Pushead pairs are the darkest end of that practice: illustration led, skull heavy, closer to a record sleeve than to sportswear. This is the second of them, which matters, because the first established that the audience would accept graphic art on a shoe that started as a basketball silhouette. Nike had by then spent decades learning that its shapes could carry other people's ideas, ever since the Swoosh drawn by design student Carolyn Davidson in 1971 became a surface that anything could be printed alongside.
