Released on 8 July 2025 and part of Nike's Vomero 18 line. This release has a mesh upper in Summit White/College Grey/Vast Grey/Black. Vomero is the part of Nike's running range built for comfort under repetition rather than for speed on a specific day. That is the older half of the company's purpose, the half that goes back to Bill Bowerman standing on a track in Eugene, convinced American runners deserved better shoes than the domestic market was selling them, and pouring rubber into his wife's waffle iron until he had a sole worth using. Run Pack is a presentation rather than a technology: a set of shoes grouped by how they are meant to be used. On the eighteenth Vomero that framing is honest, because this is a mileage shoe and it has never pretended otherwise.
Two ways to use it. Easy and long runs, four to fifteen kilometres, where the extra cushioning is doing real work on your legs, paired with a thin running sock and shorts. Or as the recovery shoe you put on the day after a hard session, when you want the softest thing in your rotation. It also holds up as a travel and standing shoe, which a race flat does not. Size up a half if you run long, because feet swell. For care, keep it out of the washing machine, remove the insole to dry after wet runs, and track your kilometres rather than your calendar, because foam quietly stops rebounding long before the upper looks worn.
Nike's road credibility has always run through track athletes: Steve Prefontaine first, then a roster that grew to include Sebastian Coe, Carl Lewis, Michael Johnson, Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Allyson Felix. The company's most consequential running product came later, in 2017, when the Vaporfly put ZoomX foam and a full length carbon fibre plate together and research found it could take up to 4.2 percent off a marathon time, which pushed World Athletics to write shoe rules on 31 January 2020. Daily trainers exist in the shadow of that argument. They are the shoes that let you get to the start line at all, which is most of what running actually is.
This is the cushioned end of Nike's range, which means a taller stack of foam under the foot and an upper built to hold you steady on top of it rather than to save every last gram. That trade is the whole design: more material between you and the road, more weight, more comfort over hours. Nike's running uppers use Flywire cabling and Dri-FIT fabric across the range, the first to hold the foot with minimal material, the second to move sweat off the skin, and both matter more on a ninety minute run than on a fast one. Expect a softer landing than a plated race shoe gives you, and expect the outsole to be the part that tells you when the shoe is finished.
