Designed by Peter Moore and part of the Air Jordan 1 line. This release has a leather upper in Sail/Beta Blue/Coconut Cream/Light Smoke/Team Red. Elevate Low is Jordan Brand rebuilding its founding silhouette for a different way of walking, and Exploration Unit is the colour story wrapped around it. The Air Jordan 1 was drawn in 1984 as basketball equipment for one player, and the brand has spent the years since asking what else that outline can be: a Mid, a Low, a Flyease, a Zoom Comfort, and lifted versions like this one. That willingness to modify is what separates Jordan Brand from a heritage label. It is a Nike division created in 1997 with its own designers, and the original pattern is treated as raw material rather than as a relic to be preserved.
A raised sole shortens the leg line, so keep hems clean and deliberate. Cropped straight trousers ending above the ankle show the full sole and read as intentional. The second recipe is a longer line: a midi skirt or wide leg trouser with a slight break, letting the shoe peek out and add height without announcing it. Avoid stacked, pooling hems that hide the sole entirely, since the silhouette is the reason to buy this. Walk it in gradually, because lifted soles change your gait for the first few wears. Clean the sidewall with a soft brush and mild soap, and keep the upper dry.

A lifted Air Jordan 1 Low speaks to an audience that arrived through fashion rather than basketball, which is now the larger half of the business.
The Elevate name marks this as a lifted interpretation of the Low rather than a straight reissue, so expect the profile to sit differently underfoot than a standard Air Jordan 1 Low and check the sole height in hand, since that is the whole proposition. The upper keeps the panel language that makes the silhouette recognisable at a glance. Nike Air cushioning has been part of this line since the Air Jordan II. A raised sole changes how the shoe wears: the outsole edge picks up scuffing along its full height rather than just at the base, so clean the sidewall as diligently as you clean the upper, and expect the midsole to be the part that ages first.
