Deep royal against football grey is a colour pairing lifted straight from team kit, where a saturated blue is set on a cool neutral so it reads from a distance. On the Dunk Low that logic transfers exactly, because the silhouette's panelling was designed to carry two colours cleanly and let a crowd identify them instantly. Nike's whole visual system depends on that legibility. The Swoosh, drawn by Carolyn Davidson and first used on 18 June 1971, works as a fixed shape that any colour can fill, which is how one silhouette supports hundreds of variations without ever losing its identity.
