Cloudtilt and Cloud 6 are both relevant to everyday wear, but they are different models. Start with their stated purpose and try the exact version rather than treating “On Cloud” as one shoe.
The practical distinction
| Model | Brand positioning | Before choosing |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudtilt | City walking with CloudTec Phase cushioning | Check whether you are buying the original, Remix or another version |
| Cloud 6 | All-day wear with CloudTec cushioning and speed lacing | Check standard, Wide, Coast and Waterproof variants separately |
How to choose for your day
If your priority is city walking, compare the Cloudtilt’s intended use with the Cloud 6’s everyday design. If packing or weather protection is central, look at the relevant specifically named variant rather than assuming the base model has those properties. Neither a family name nor the presence of cushioning proves suitability for every running activity.
Fit and fastening
Read the product’s current fit information and try it with your usual socks. Check whether the heel moves when walking, whether the upper presses on the forefoot, and how the fastening holds your foot. Do not transfer a recommendation from a waterproof or wide version to the standard model. Our On sizing guide explains the model and label checks.
Buying comparison
Select your size before comparing prices. Confirm the style code, colourway, adult or children’s construction, condition and delivery estimate. An attractive starting price may apply to a different size. Size exchange is conditional on the order, request window, unused condition and an eligible replacement; read the quote before committing.
We have not conducted a controlled side-by-side wear test, so this guide does not award a comfort score or claim one lasts longer. Compare exact style, size and condition before deciding whether a price difference is worthwhile.
