Designed by Tinker Hatfield and released on 3 September 2022 as part of the Air Jordan 5 line. This release has a suede upper in Pumice/Game Royal/Black/Plum/Eclipse/Bright Crimson. This is the shoe where Jordan stops being a basketball brand on paper. In 2018 Jordan Brand sponsored an association football club for the first time, Paris Saint-Germain, having already become sole equipment provider to the Michigan Wolverines football programme in 2016. The PSG makeups are the visible product of that move, and putting one on an Air Jordan 5 Retro Low is a specific choice: the 5 is a numbered archive model, not a lifestyle silhouette, so the club colours land on something the collector audience already treats as sacred. A Paris football kit and a Chicago basketball shoe should not agree, and the fact that they do is exactly what the partnership was for.
Play the football reference or ignore it, but pick one. Recipe one: black trousers with a plain club style knit polo, dark and considered, letting the colours land without a full kit. Recipe two: navy trackpants, a white tee and a bomber, the terrace look done straight. Do not wear it with an actual replica shirt unless you want the shoe to be a footnote. The Low is the 5's shape brought below the ankle, which changes how it wears without changing what it is. Nike Air cushioning has been the structural constant of the Jordan line since the Air Jordan II, and the numbered models are where the brand's build detail concentrates. The PSG treatment puts club colours across the panels, so the shoe reads as team kit at distance and as a Jordan up close. Style code DX6325 204 identifies this make, which matters on partnership releases where several closely related versions exist. Treat it as a collector pair that can be worn: the panelling is legible enough that scuffs on the wrong panel are immediately obvious.
