Compare the full fragrance name, concentration and bottle volume before comparing price. A 50 ml eau de toilette and a 100 ml eau de parfum are not equivalent offers, even if their boxes look similar.
Concentration is part of the product identity
EDT, EDP, parfum and extrait identify different versions. They can differ in intensity and composition; do not assume one is simply the same scent diluted. CHANEL describes its formats as different concentrations and interpretations. That guidance does not establish universal oil percentages or a guaranteed number of hours for every brand.
Compare bottle size and packaging

What batch information can tell you
Keep photographs of the batch markings, bottle base, packaging and invoice. Matching markings can help support investigate an order, but a copied code or third-party batch lookup is not conclusive proof of authenticity. Packaging changes, market labels and storage conditions also need context. Do not make an authenticity verdict from scent longevity alone.
Store it carefully
CHANEL advises keeping fragrance away from heat and light and tightly closed. Avoid leaving a bottle in a hot car or on a sunny shelf. Follow the maker’s instructions for the particular product. Changes in how strongly you notice a scent do not, by themselves, identify a counterfeit; CHANEL also describes becoming accustomed to a fragrance over time.
If something looks wrong
Preserve packaging and photograph the discrepancy before contacting support. Include the order number privately, full product name, concentration and volume. Read fragrance authentication guidance and the applicable return conditions. Perfumes are not size-exchange products, and opening or using an item can affect eligibility.
