A watch assembled or modified with a Seiko movement is not automatically a factory-original Seiko watch. Read the listing’s full parts, condition and warranty disclosure before comparing it with a manufacturer-issued model.
Factory-original versus modified

Ask for a complete description
Record the reference or build description, movement, case size, dial, bracelet or strap and condition. Ask whether a watch is new, unworn or pre-owned and whether it has been polished or serviced. Request clear photographs of wear and included accessories. If the listing does not specify a detail, do not infer it from a stock image.
Warranty is a separate question
Find out who provides the warranty, the coverage period, exclusions and where a claim is handled. Seiko’s warranty guidance conditions service on its stated terms and documentation; Seiko Australia states that modifications void its warranty. That does not establish a warranty for a Culture Circle listing. Ask for the applicable written seller or manufacturer terms before paying.
Water resistance and accessories
Do not carry a factory water-resistance claim over to a modified watch without appropriate documentation for the completed watch. A box, booklet, spare links or warranty card should be listed explicitly if included. “Full set” needs a stated inventory, and an authenticity certificate does not replace a warranty card.
Price comparisons and support
Compare like-for-like condition and configuration. A lower price for a modified watch is not a discount on a factory-original reference. Read our watch authentication guide and certificate help; ask support about missing listing details.
