Part of the Ora Recovery Slide line. This release has a eva upper in Grey/Grey. A grey ORA Recovery Slide 3 is the least demonstrative thing in Hoka's catalogue, and that is the point. Recovery footwear is a category the brand can speak to with authority because of who wears its shoes: ultrarunners coming off long mountain efforts and clinical staff finishing twelve hour shifts. Since 2013 Hoka has belonged to Deckers Brands, the group that also owns UGG and Teva, which is to say a house that understands comfort footwear as a category rather than as an afterthought. Grey is the tone that lets a slide travel between a changing room, a hotel corridor and a front doorstep without ever looking like sports equipment.
Utility
Two ways to use it. First, straight after effort: shorts, a loose tee, bare feet, worn from the changing room onward while your feet spread out again. Second, around the house and nearby: grey joggers, a sweatshirt, worn for the errands that do not justify laces.
