Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 Black Yellow

Released on 6 January 2024 and part of the Mexico 66 line. This release has a leather upper in Black/Yellow. Black and yellow is the brand's signature pairing, tied both to the tiger the founder named the company after in 1949 and to the shoe's long history on screen. On the Mexico 66 the combination is at its most legible: a yellow leather body with black crossed stripes running the length of the quarter, black at the heel and along the sole edge, the graphic reading from across a street. The silhouette itself was built in 1966 as a flagship to take on Adidas and Puma before the 1968 Mexico City Games. This colourway is the one people picture when they hear the brand name, and it carries more cultural weight than any other in the line.
