Designed by Designer. This release has a upper material upper. The Pegasus is the longest running name in Nike running, the everyday trainer the brand keeps rebuilding rather than replacing, and its 42nd iteration continues a lineage that starts with Bill Bowerman ruining a waffle iron in Oregon to make a lighter sole for his university runners. White with lapis, total orange and metallic silver is a proper running palette: a clean base so the shoe stays visible, two saturated colours placed where the eye tracks movement, and silver as a highlight. Nike has never treated the Pegasus as a halo product. It is the shoe you actually put miles on, which is why the colourways matter more than the marketing.
Utility
Use them for their job: daily road mileage, easy runs, tempo work and treadmill sessions rather than trail. Rotate with a second pair if you run most days, because foam needs recovery time and dies faster when it never gets it. Off the run, the palette works with grey joggers and a white tee, or with black training tights and a windbreaker in the same orange. Size up a half for long distance, since feet swell over an hour. Construction
A daily trainer has to balance cushioning against responsiveness, so expect a foam midsole tuned for repeated road impact rather than for race day, a rubber outsole patterned for wear at the heel and forefoot, and an engineered mesh upper built for airflow and a locked midfoot. Nike's upper technology has long used Flywire cables to hold the foot with minimal material, which is the approach that keeps a trainer this cushioned from feeling heavy. Lapis and total orange are used as accent placement against the white base, with metallic silver catching light on the Swoosh or heel. Nothing here should be confused with the ZoomX and carbon plate racing shoes.
