The "No Radiations" symbol, prominently displayed, is a direct nod to the vintage diver's watches of the 1960s, specifically those that eschewed the use of radium.
Designed for the rigors of underwater exploration, this watch boasts a water resistance of 91 meters, equivalent to 50 fathoms or 300 feet. The inclusion of a scratch-resistant bio-sourced crystal and a sapphire crystal case back ensures durability in demanding conditions. Its design pays homage to the original Fifty Fathoms, making it a functional tool for diving enthusiasts and a stylish accessory for everyday wear.
This collaboration has already begun to shift the landscape of accessible luxury timepieces, mirroring the success of the Swatch x Omega MoonSwatch. The watch is meticulously crafted with a 42.3mm Bioceramic case, a material celebrated for its sustainable origins. The movement is powered by the Swatch Sistem51, an automatic winding mechanism, featuring a 90-hour power reserve and a Nivachron™ hairspring for enhanced anti-magnetic properties. The watch is completed with a NATO strap constructed from recycled fishing nets.
