Adidas Xlg Runner Deluxe White Black

Released on 5 October 2024 and part of the XLG Runner Deluxe line. This release has a mesh upper in Crystal White/Core Black/Iron Metallic. The XLG Runner Deluxe is adidas making a retro runner deliberately oversized, taking the slim proportions of its own archive and inflating them until the shoe becomes the loudest thing you are wearing. White and black is the version that shows the exaggeration most clearly, because the contrast draws out every panel line and every layer of the sole unit. adidas has two ways of using its history: reissue it faithfully, or distort it on purpose. This is firmly the second approach, and it belongs to the same lineage as the brand's long habit of chasing spectacle rather than only refining what already works well enough.
